7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.
8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. 10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
John 14:15 If you love me, keep my commandments.
Imagine, you are getting ready to go to "church", and you decide to call it by the meaning of its biblical name. Here is what you would say, "Let's go to the 'Called Out Ones'"? Do you see how ridiculous and meaningless that sounds? This shows just how much is being "changed" by using a different word with a different meaning than it meant to the early Called Out Ones.
4 But I say that so long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a bondservant, though he is lord of all;
2 but is under guardians and stewards until the day appointed by the father.
3 So we also, when we were children, were held in bondage under the elemental principles of the world.
4 But when the fullness of the time came, God sent out his Son, born to a woman, born under the law,
5 that he might redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of children.
6 And because you are children, God sent out the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, "Abba, Father!"
7 So you are no longer a bondservant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Are you being held under bondage as a
spiritual slave to your spiritual leadership? That
spiritual bondage was one of the things that were under the
former law! You may be surprised that it was God’s plan for you
to be under guidance only until you become mature in
Christ! But then you are expected to operate
in the kingdom of God as a fully functioning spiritual adult!
And another thing- the timing of your spiritual adulthood is not in the power of your overlording pastor, but directly in the hands of your God, the Father, not your overlording pastor!
But, someone may ask, what about Romans 10:13-15? Well, let’s turn that around and ask, Hasn’t the “preacher’s” preaching been able to “save” you and get you to call on the name of the Lord yet? If not, then you better ask how effective his preaching is! (For a hint, see Hebrews 10:1-4. That which is continually necessary is so because it is ineffective!)
It is time for all spiritually mature Christians to break free from under their slavery to overlords who are in turn disobedient to Jesus Christ who commanded them to be servants, not overlording benefactors!
25 He said to them, "The kings of the nations lord it over them, and those who have authority over them are called 'benefactors.'
26 But not so with you. But one who is the greater among you, let him become as the younger, and one who is governing, as one who serves.
27 For who is greater, one who sits at the table, or one who serves? Isn't it he who sits at the table? But I am in the midst of you as one who serves.
Or maybe you think that Jesus Christ’s mission wasn’t to set you free from under captivity to religious hypocrites! Think again…
18 "The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
Because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim release to the captives,
Recovering of sight to the blind,
To deliver those who are crushed,
19 And to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord."
Luke 4:21 He began to tell them, "Today, this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing."
8 Therefore he says, "When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men."
9 Now this, "He ascended," what is it but that he also first descended into the lower parts of the earth?
10 He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.
11 He gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, shepherds and teachers;
12 for the perfecting of the saints to the work of serving to the building up of the body of Christ;
13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a full grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
14 that we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error;
15 but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, Christ;
16 from whom all the body, being fitted and knit together through that which every joint supplies, according to the working in measure of each individual part, makes the body increase to the building up of itself in love.
17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind,
Are you hearing these words, Called Out Ones of Christ??? Christ came to set us all free in order that the body of Christ could be edified according to the working of each individual part! With the intended purpose of raising up spiritually mature members so that we are no longer children (remember Galatians 4? The heir as long as he is a child differs nothing from a slave!!!) So that is why these overlords want to keep you under their bondage through their trickery and wiles of error!
Now tie together Eph 4:17 with Luke 22:25-
25 He said to them, "The kings of the nations [Gentiles] lord it over them, and those who have authority over them are called 'benefactors.'
26 But not so with you.
Eph. 4:17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind,
This is not an option, this is a commandment not to walk in the futile manner of the pagan Gentile Kings!
Now hear even more warnings from King Jesus-
Matt 15:14 They are blind guides of the blind. If the blind guide the blind, both will fall into a pit."
Luke 6:46 "Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and don't do the things which I say?
4 I heard another voice from heaven, saying, "Come out of her, my people, that you have no participation in her sins, and that you don't receive of her plagues,
5 for her sins have reached to the sky, and God has remembered her iniquities.
Now go read brother Kevin’s blog (linked below) about the meaning of “church” actually being the word for pagan places of worship to the goddess circe, and perhaps that warning in Revelation will start to have a little more meaning for you and you’ll consider that maybe some of us who left the institutional circus aren’t really the true rebels after all?
1 Kings 18:17-18
17 It happened, when [evil king] Ahab saw Elijah, that [evil king] Ahab said to him, Is it you, you troubler of Israel?
18 He answered, I have not troubled Israel; but you, and your father's house, in that you have forsaken the commandments of Yahweh, and you have followed the Baals.
If you are following so far, you should now be able to see that man-made organizations have resorted (returned back) to the "character" of the kings of the worldly Gentiles, which was precisely what Christ came to set us free from! So then, how much sense does it make to call resorting to the organizational system of the world being "Called Out Ones"? Do you see what a mess the religious hypocrites have made by obscuring the meaning of "Called Out Ones" by simply changing the word ekklesia to the word "church" which doesn't have anything at all to do with being the Called Out Ones?
This is precisely the kind of thing that Jesus called, “making void the word of God by your tradition, which you have handed down”
6 He answered them, "Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written,
'This people honors me with their lips,But their heart is far from me.7 But in vain do they worship me,Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.'
8 "For you set aside the commandment of God, and hold tightly to the tradition of men—the washing of pitchers and cups, and you do many other such things."
9 He said to them, "Full well do you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition.
10 For Moses said, 'Honor your father and your mother;' and, 'He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him be put to death.'
11 But you say, 'If a man tells his father or his mother, "Whatever profit you might have received from me is Corban , that is to say, given to God;"'
12 then you no longer allow him to do anything for his father or his mother,
13 making void the word of God by your tradition, which you have handed down. You do many things like this."
When you are ready to shed the kingdoms of this world…
We are more than ready to welcome you to the true liberty in the Kingdom of God in Christ!
This sight is also dedicated to earnestly contending for the faith once delivered -Jude 3
This means, among other things, that we will not knowingly or openly provide a forum for propagating anti-Christian Gnostic views of Jesus Christ!
